Organic poultry

Position defended by ERPA:

• In favor of one organic harmonized regulation for all European countries
• A strict and uniform application of the principles of organic farming
• Farming criteria on organic poultry meat corresponding to the “traditional free range” type of farming defined in the marketing standards
• Rules for organic laying hens differentiating 2 types of farming : on ground soil (one level) and in multi-storey houses
• Rules for organic chicks and pullets compatible with safety requirements.
